Turin:An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale struck south of the Italian city of Turin on Thursday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology reported the earthquake occurred at a depth of 372 kilometers.

There were no reports of material damage or casualties following the quake. Italy has previously experienced significant earthquakes, including the August 2016 disaster in Amatrice, which resulted in 299 fatalities.
