Moscow:The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 399 Ukrainian drones were shot down over various regions of the country overnight.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry reported that its air defense systems targeted drones across regions including Belgorod, Bryansk, Volgograd, Voronezh, Kursk, Lipetsk, Oryol, Orenburg, Penza, Rostov, Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Smolensk, Tambov, Tula, Ulyanovsk, and Moscow. Additionally, drones were also downed in the republics of Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, the Crimean Peninsula, and over the Black Sea basin.
The ongoing conflict has seen Russia and Ukraine frequently issuing reports of defending against each other's attacks. These reports have not been independently verified due to the challenging conditions of the war, which has persisted since February 2022.
