Qatar Junior Open Squash Championship Set to Begin Tomorrow

Doha: The 2026 Qatar Junior Open Squash Championship is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex. Organized by the Qatar Squash Federation and under the auspices of the Asian Squash Federation, the three-day event will see participation from promising young players representing Qatar and several other nations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the championship will feature competitions in four age categories: Under-17, Under-15, Under-13, and Under-11. Championship Director Saad Al Muhannadi emphasized that the event aims to nurture young Qatari squash talents by providing them with valuable competitive experience.

Al Muhannadi highlighted the importance of exposure to various levels of competition for player development. He stated that consistent participation in matches is vital for preparing and advancing players, allowing them to compete against diverse opponents. The championship’s objective extends beyond immediate results, focusing on cultivating a generation of players who can represent Qatar in future events and contribute to the sport’s growing popularity within the country.
