UNRWA: Gaza Families in Urgent Need of All Basic Necessities

Gaza: The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) confirmed today that Palestinian families in Gaza are deprived of the most basic necessities of life, renewing its call to lift the Israeli occupation’s siege on the Strip and its residents.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a post on X, the UN agency stated: “Families in Gaza have been left without essentials. UNRWA has not been allowed to bring in any aid for 6 months now.” Shelter items like mattresses, blankets, and tents are much needed, it added.

Since the resumption of its military operations in Gaza last March, the Israeli occupation has prevented the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip, where approximately 2.4 million people are living in extremely complex humanitarian conditions amid severe shortages of food and medicine and ongoing displacement.
