Ukraine: Russian Army Casualties Reach 956,810 Since Start of War

Kyiv: The Ukrainian military announced on Sunday that since the onset of the war on Feb. 24, 2022, approximately 956,810 Russian troops have been killed or wounded. The toll includes 1,340 soldiers who were either killed or injured during the past 24 hours.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that since the start of the war, Ukrainian forces have destroyed a total of 10,758 Russian tanks, 22,403 armored combat vehicles, 27,327 artillery systems, 1,376 multiple launch rocket systems, and 1,155 air defense systems.

In addition, 372 fighter jets, 335 helicopters, 34,860 drones, 3,196 cruise missiles, 28 warships, 1 submarine, 47,141 vehicles and fuel tanks, as well as 3,870 units of special equipment, have been destroyed, the statement added.

Reports from both sides often present conflicting accounts of battlefield developments, as these claims can’t be independently verified due to the ongoing war and active combat operations.
