Gaza: Six Palestinians were martyred and others injured Saturday as Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling targeted multiple areas across Gaza.
According to Qatar News Agency, in northern Gaza, two Palestinians were martyred following a drone strike near Education Roundabout in Beit Lahia. Another individual was martyred in an airstrike on Al Shuja’iya neighborhood, east of Gaza City. Additionally, two fishermen sustained injuries from shrapnel after an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on their boat in the northern Gaza Sea.
In southern Gaza, eight Palestinians were injured, including two in critical condition, after an Israeli drone targeted displaced persons’ tents in Al Mawasi area, west of Khan Younis. Medical sources confirmed that two individuals succumbed to their injuries from a previous airstrike on a home in Al Manara area, east of the city, last night.
Israeli warplanes and drones also carried out multiple airstrikes on Al Nasr town, northeast of Rafah, and other areas in the city.
In central Gaza, six injuries were reported by Al Awda Hospital after Israeli naval forces shelled a fishing boat off the coast of Al Zawaida town. Additionally, one Palestinian was martyred in an airstrike targeting the roof of a residential home near Al Ansar Mosque in the town.
The total death toll from Israeli aggression on Gaza has now risen to 51,495 martyrs, with 117,524 injured since October 7, 2023.
The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression on March 18, following a two-month ceasefire that began on January 19. However, Israel repeatedly violated the ceasefire terms, continuing airstrikes across Gaza, causing casualties and injuries, refusing to implement humanitarian protocols, and intensifying its blockade, leaving Gaza in an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
