Riyadh: The Saudi main stock index closed today’s trading session with a decrease of 11.24 points, settling at 10,866.83 points. The total trading value for the day amounted to SR 5 billion.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading activity saw a total of 280 million shares exchanged. Out of these, 87 companies witnessed a rise in their share values, while 159 companies experienced a decline.
In a related development, the Saudi Parallel Market Index (Nomu) also saw a downturn, dropping by 94.16 points to close at 26,535.79 points. The trades in this segment amounted to SR 43 million, with a total of 7 million shares traded across 6,671 transactions.
