QSE Index Rises at Market Open

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Wednesday, climbing 73.77 points, or 0.65%, to 11,495.00 compared to the previous session’s close.

According to Qatar News Agency, gains were recorded across most sectors, with Telecoms leading the rally, up 2.23%. It was followed by Banks and Financial Services, which saw an increase of 0.59%, Industrials at 0.48%, Real Estate at 0.35%, Transportation at 0.25%, and Insurance at 0.12%. The Consumer Goods and Services sector was the sole decliner, slipping 0.18%.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 70.118 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 117.409 million executed across 4,280 transactions.
