Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index opened higher on Sunday, gaining 43.69 points, or 0.39%, to reach 11,386 points compared to the previous session’s close.

According to Qatar News Agency, the upward momentum was driven by gains across five sectors. The Industrials sector led with an increase of 0.89%, followed by Real Estate (+0.45%), Banks and Financial Services (+0.30%), Consumer Goods and Services (+0.22%), and Telecoms (+0.18%). In contrast, the Transportation sector edged down (-0.09%), while Insurance recorded a sharper decline (-0.87%).

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 24.928 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 49.791 million across 2,375 transactions.
