QSE Index Experiences Slight Decline in Early Trading

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index saw a minor drop of 16.34 points, or 0.15%, reaching 11,167 points at the commencement of trading on Wednesday, when compared to the previous session’s close.

According to Qatar News Agency, positive performances were noted in several sectors, with Insurance rising by 0.17%, Real Estate by 0.07%, and Banks and Financial Services also increasing by 0.07%. Conversely, declines were observed in the Telecoms sector, which fell by 0.69%, Industrials by 0.23%, Transportation by 0.17%, and Consumer Goods and Services decreased by 0.08%.

As of 10:00 am, the trading activity included a volume of 20.258 million shares, with a turnover amounting to QR 51.984 million across 4,959 transactions.
