QSE Index Edges Lower at Market Open

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index declined by 1.66 points, or 0.01%, at the start of trading on Wednesday, falling to 11,282 points from the previous session’s close.

According to Qatar News Agency, market data showed gains in the Industrials sector, which rose 0.73%, followed by Real Estate with an increase of 0.14%, Consumer Goods and Services up 0.10%, and Insurance up 0.09%. In contrast, the Telecoms sector declined 0.31%, while Banks and Financial Services fell 0.34%. Transportation was unchanged.

As of 10:00 am, the QSE recorded a trading volume of 62.942 million shares, with a total turnover of QR 104.325 million across 3,840 transactions.
