QSE Index Edges Lower at Market Open

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index edged down 0.01% at the start of trading on Monday, shedding 0.80 points to 11,321.

According to Qatar News Agency, the market experienced declines across five sectors. Transportation led with a decrease of 0.35%, followed by Insurance at 0.28%, Consumer Goods and Services at 0.14%, Real Estate at 0.03%, and Telecoms at 0.02%. In contrast, Industrials managed a slight gain of 0.03%, while the Banks and Financial Services sector remained static.

QSE reported a turnover of QR 62.283 million from 32.647 million shares traded in 2,578 transactions by 10:00 am.
