QOC Organizes Workshop to Enhance Female Athletes Performance

Doha: The Athletes’ Commission of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) organized a three-day specialized workshop to enhance the skills of female athletes and strengthen their technical, physical, and psychological readiness. A total of 12 athletes, aged between 14 and 21 and representing various national sports federations, participated in the program.

According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop aimed to develop athletes’ performance, improve their physical and mental preparedness for local and international competitions, and support Qatari women in their professional sports careers. On the first day, the commission led interactive discussions focusing on mental and physical readiness, handling competition environments, achieving excellence, and building determination.

The second day included two specialized sessions in partnership with Aspire Zone, highlighting the importance of sports nutrition and mental health in maintaining performance, consistency, and physical output. On the final day, Director of Sports Affairs at Qatar University, Dr. Sunaid Al Marri, spoke about safeguarding athletes from harassment and abuse, while Head of Communications at QOC’s International Cooperation and Communication Department, Abdullah Al Marri, gave a presentation on the ideal use of social media, managing digital platforms, and promoting the positive impact of sports institutions’ strategies and community role.

Concluding the workshop, Deputy Secretary of the Athletes’ Commission, Nada Mohammed Wafa praised its value in equipping young female athletes with practical and mental skills, enhancing their ability to represent Qatar at both national and international levels.
