Monaco: Qatari rider Ghanem Al Qadhi secured third place in the 140 cm height competition during the eighth leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour (LGCT), currently taking place at the famous Port Hercule in Monaco. Al Qadhi completed the round in 61.13 seconds.
According to Qatar News Agency, first place went to British rider George Whitaker who clocked a time of 56.58 seconds, while Belgian rider Kasper De Boeck claimed second place finishing in 59.13 seconds.
The Longines Global Champions Tour continues until July 5, featuring riders from around the world competing for substantial prize money exceeding two million euros, including pound 1.5 million for the Grand Prix, which will be presented by the Prince of Monaco.
Qatari riders participating in the eighth leg include Sheikh Ali bin Khalid Al-Thani, Mohammed Al Baker, Rashid Al Marri, and Ghanem Al Qadhi. This leg is considered one of the most prominent stops on the global tour, hosted in Monaco, a city renowned for its unique location at the heart of the Formula 1 circuit.
The championship continues in 2025 with elite riders competing across 16 cities worldwide, starting from Al Shaqab in Doha and passing through major cities such as Paris, New York, Riyadh, Prague, and others.
