Doha: Qatar Sports Club officially announced Thursday the signing of striker Abdul Rasheed Ibrahim on a one-year deal, arriving from Al Ahli Club.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar SC confirmed that Abdul Rasheed’s addition to the first football team comes as part of the club’s strategy to strengthen its attacking line ahead of the upcoming 2025-2026 season.
The statement added that the player will join the team’s training sessions, which have already begun at the club’s facilities in Doha, in preparation for the season before traveling to Spain for a pre-season training camp scheduled from July 16 to 31.
Abdul Rasheed Ibrahim, 25, is considered one of the players who has represented the Qatari national team at various levels, including the youth, U-23, and senior teams. He is known for his versatility in playing both midfield and forward positions.
Qatar SC had previously announced several domestic signings based on the vision of Spanish coach Marquez Lopez. The club signed players Mohammed Alaa, Ali Nader, Saeed Ebrahimi, Abdullah Al Ali, and Ahmed Sayyar.
Qatar SC finished last season in ninth place and will kick off their 2025-2026 Qatari Football League campaign with a match against reigning champions Al Sadd on August 16 in the opening round of the competition.
