Doha: The State of Qatar took part in the inaugural session of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference (HSC) 2026, in Hamburg, Germany, on Tuesday. Over 2,000 representatives of governments, international organizations, and the private sector participated in this conference.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Eng. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Mahmoud, represented the State of Qatar at the conference, accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry. The conference discusses avenues for accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing international cooperation in the domains of climate, energy, food security, and development funding.
The event also takes stock of creative initiatives and solutions to address environmental and development challenges on the world stage. This participation is part of the State of Qatar's commitment to deepening its presence in sustainability-relevant international forums, sharing expertise and best practices, as well as backing combined efforts to achieve sustainable development and confront environmental and climate challenges.
