Doha: The State of Qatar has issued a strong condemnation regarding the targeting of vital facilities and infrastructure in Kassala and Port Sudan in the Republic of Sudan. This act has been labeled as a violation of international laws and norms, posing a serious threat to regional security.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement on Sunday emphasizing Qatar’s categorical rejection of any attacks on civilian and vital facilities. The Ministry called for regional and international efforts to collaboratively work towards ending the ongoing conflict through peaceful means.

The statement further reiterated Qatar’s unwavering support for the unity, sovereignty, and stability of Sudan. It also expressed solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people in their pursuit of development and prosperity.
