Lome: The first round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of Togo was held Wednesday in Lome, the capital of Togo. The discussions were led by HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi for Qatar and HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration, and Togolese Abroad Ousmane Afo Salifou for Togo.

According to Qatar News Agency, the consultations focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and addressing several regional and international issues of mutual interest. This meeting marked a significant step in the diplomatic relations between the two nations.

On the sidelines of these discussions, Qatar and Togo signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the fields of youth and sports. This agreement demonstrates both countries’ dedication to expanding partnership opportunities and fostering mutual cooperation in various sectors.
