Doha: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs urged international community to act swiftly in supporting the government’s plan for emergency relief and early recovery, paving the way for reconstruction of Gaza Strip without delay.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry highlighted the urgent need to empower the Palestinian government to address hardships faced by over two million Palestinians, especially hundreds of thousands awaiting their return to devastated northern Gaza Strip, where basic living conditions are nonexistent.
The ministry underscored that these efforts are crucial for ensuring resilience of Palestinians, enabling them to remain on their land, and fostering national unity. It added that international support for these initiatives is consistent with international law, international legitimacy resolutions, and global consensus on achieving peace and advancing the two-state solution.
