Palestinian Foreign Ministry Accuses Israel of Targeting Journalists to Conceal Gaza Conflict

Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as deliberate targeting of journalists by Israeli forces in Gaza. The ministry claims that this action is part of a broader strategy by Israel to suppress Palestinian voices and obscure ongoing events in the region.

According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry’s statement highlights the targeting of journalists as a brutal act by Israeli occupation forces. It suggests that these actions are part of a systematic campaign to prevent the documentation of alleged crimes and violations against Palestinians. The ministry categorizes these acts as part of an all-out war strategy, which includes a series of violations such as bombing, extrajudicial killing, arbitrary detention, and enforced disappearance aimed at intimidating journalists.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to revealing what it describes as the Israeli occupation’s crimes on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. It has called on the international community, including the International Federation of Journalists and relevant United Nations organizations, to take immediate action to protect civilians, particularly those in journalism and humanitarian fields. Furthermore, it urged for increased international pressure on Israel to halt these violations and comply with international law, humanitarian law, the Geneva Conventions, and international resolutions.
