Pakistani Foreign Minister, Canadian Counterpart Discuss Regional Developments

Islamabad: Pakistani Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and his Canadian counterpart Anita Anand engaged in a phone conversation on Monday to discuss regional developments, notably the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement recently signed by Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkiye.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Pakistani minister provided a briefing to the Canadian minister on the essence of the agreement. He emphasized the shared determination of the three countries to enhance peace, stability, and security in the region. The agreement marks a significant collaboration aimed at addressing regional challenges collectively.

In addition to the discussion on the defense agreement, the two ministers exchanged views on the evolving dynamics of relations between the United States and Iran. This dialogue underscores the importance of international cooperation and diplomacy in addressing broader geopolitical issues.
