Magnitude 6 Earthquake Strikes Off El Salvador’s Pacific Coast

El salvador: A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the Pacific Ocean off the coasts of Guatemala and El Salvador on Saturday, according to the US Geological Survey. The seismic event occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and was centered approximately 81 kilometers southwest of Acajutla, a coastal city in El Salvador.

According to Qatar News Agency, no casualties or damage have been reported so far. The region, known for its seismic activity due to its position along the Pacific Ring of Fire, frequently experiences such tremors, though not all result in significant consequences. Residents in the surrounding areas have been advised to remain vigilant for any aftershocks.
