Alaska: An earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale struck on Tuesday the Alaskan State of America.
According to Qatar News Agency, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake occurred 84 kilometers southwest of the city of Nikolski, at a depth of 47.1 kilometers.
Alaska lies above the Pacific Ring of Fire, an area where tectonic plates meet, and friction between them causes seismic activity.
