Leverkusen: Bayer Leverkusen officially announced Tuesday they had signed Spanish defender Lucas Vazquez following the end of his long career with Real Madrid.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on the club’s official website, Leverkusen confirmed that the right back and winger signed a contract until June 30, 2027.
The move comes after a 10-year spell with Real Madrid first team, where Vazquez made 402 appearances and won 23 titles, including UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup, La Liga, Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup.
Leverkusen finished second in the Bundesliga standings last season, behind Bayern Munich.
