Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as All Share Index Declines

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index lost 3.77 points to reach 9,023.11 points, a decrease of 0.04 percent. As many as 656 million shares valued at KWD 140.10 million (roughly USD 428.7 million) were traded via 31,416 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index showed a slight increase, going up by 2.39 points to reach 8,682.46 points, marking an increase of 0.03 percent. This was achieved through the trade of 429.6 million shares in 21,405 transactions valued at KWD 67.4 million (roughly USD 206.2 million).

The Premier Market Index, however, experienced a decline, losing 5.50 points to settle at 9,560.42, reflecting a decrease of 0.06 percent. This change occurred through the exchange of 226.4 million shares in 10,011 transactions, valued at KWD 72.6 million (roughly USD 222 million).

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index saw an increase, gaining 37.08 points to reach 8,890.71 points, an increase of 0.42 percent. This movement was recorded through a stock volume of 201 million shares conducted in 10,929 deals, valued at KWD 45.9 million (roughly USD 140.4 million).
