Beirut: Israel has launched a drone attack on a rapid vehicle on the Ain Al Mzareb-Tibnin road in the Bint Jbeil district of southern Lebanon, resulting in one fatality, the Lebanese Ministry of Health’s Public Health Emergency Operations Center has reported in a statement.
According to Qatar News Agency, field sources indicated that an Israeli force infiltrated 1,400 meters overnight into southern Lebanon from Wadi Hounin towards the Adaisseh-Markaba road in the Marjayoun district of Nabatieh governorate in southern Lebanon.
On Nov. 27, a ceasefire deal was entered into force in southern Lebanon, which called for the withdrawal of the Israeli forces from the border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days. Thereafter, the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until Feb. 18, however, the occupation army kept its posture in five points and still continues its breaches, which have reached 3,000 since the deal entered into force, according to official Lebanese sources.
