Doha: Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC): Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi strongly condemned the continued 'terrorist' attacks on Saudi Arabia by Iran-aligned militias in Iraq.

According to Qatar News Agency, Albudaiwi issued a statement on Wednesday, describing these hostile acts as a dangerous escalation and a violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty. He emphasized that these attacks pose a direct threat to both Saudi Arabia's security and regional peace and stability.

The statement highlighted that the ongoing assaults undermine international efforts to de-escalate tensions and consolidate security and stability in the region. Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC's unified support for Saudi Arabia, asserting that the member states are fully behind any measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
