Doha: French President Emmanuel Macron and Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq discussed regional and international developments during talks in Paris on Monday, as the two countries sought to strengthen political and economic ties.
According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders reviewed the latest developments on the regional and international stage and their wider implications. They also discussed a range of political and economic issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation and advancing the strategic partnership between France and Oman.
The two sides agreed on the importance of broadening investment and trade links and exploring new opportunities for cooperation to support sustainable economic growth and advance shared interests. Following the talks, Macron and Sultan Haitham attended the signing of 12 agreements, memoranda of understanding, and declarations of intent between France and Oman.
