Doha: European stock indices opened Tuesday's trading session with mixed performance, amid rising oil prices and interest rates, prompting investors to exercise caution in a number of European markets. In the major markets, France's CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose by 0.14 percent, supported by gains in the shares of a number of major companies.

According to Qatar News Agency, Germany's DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange fell by 0.49 percent, while the FTSE 100 index on the London Stock Exchange declined by 0.38 percent. Italy's FTSE MIB index on the Milan Stock Exchange also fell by 0.08 percent.
