Doha: European stock indexes ended lower Monday retreating from gains made in the previous session, which had been fueled by optimism over potential easing of US monetary policy. The pan-European Stoxx 600 index fell 0.4 percent, marking its worst day in more than three weeks, though it remained within roughly one percent of record highs.
According to Qatar News Agency, Germany’s DAX index also declined by 0.4 percent, while France’s CAC 40 dropped 1.6 percent.
