European Stock Indices Close Higher

Doha: European stock indices posted fresh gains at the close of trading Monday, as traders focused on developments in the trade war and awaited the US Federal Reserve’s monetary policy decision later this week.

According to Qatar News Agency, the pan-European Stoxx 600 index closed up 0.2 percent, marking its 10th consecutive session of gains, its longest streak since August 2021. The German DAX index jumped 1.3 percent, approaching an all-time high, while other local stock exchanges closed higher, except for the French CAC 40, which fell 0.5 percent.
