Department of Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind and High Sea Tonight

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 am on Wednesday will feature some clouds, the Department of Meteorology said in its daily weather report. Offshore, there will be some clouds at times, with a warning of strong wind and high sea till late night.

According to Qatar News Agency, winds inshore will be northwesterly to westerly at a speed of 06 to 15 knots, gusting to 22 knots at places initially. Offshore, winds will be northwesterly at 10 to 20 knots, reaching 25 knots till late night. The sea state inshore will be 1 to 3 feet, surging to 4 feet at places till late night, while offshore will be 2 to 6 feet, surging to 8 feet till late night.

Visibility inshore will range from 4 to 9 kilometers, while offshore it will be between 5 to 10 kilometers. The tide timings and temperature variations across different areas are also provided. In Doha, high tide will occur at 03:59 and 17:58, with temperatures ranging from 32 to 44 degrees. Dukhan will experience high tide at 11:26 and 23:21, with temperatures ranging from 28 to 40 degrees. Mesaieed and Wakrah have similar high temperatures reaching up to 45 degrees and 44 degrees respectively, with corresponding high tide times.

Al Khor will see high tide at 03:33 and 17:50, with temperatures between 28 and 45 degrees. Ruwais and Abu Samra will also experience varying tide times and temperatures, with Ruwais having a high tide at 06:24 and 17:56, and Abu Samra at 10:35 and 22:48. The report also notes that sunrise and sunset will occur at 04:47 LT and 18:28 LT respectively.
