Death Toll from Israeli Onslaught on Gaza Soars to 54,056, Wounded Hit 123,129

Gaza: The death toll from the Israeli occupation’s ongoing onslaught against the Gaza Strip, which has persisted since Oct. 7, 2023, has surged to 54,056, with an additional 123,129 individuals wounded.

According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that 79 martyrs and 163 injured individuals were whisked off to hospitals across the Strip over the past 24 hours. It added that this toll does not include hospitals in the northern governorates of the enclave, which remain beyond reach due to the unrelenting Israeli offensive.

Since the start of the war on the Strip on March 18, 3,901 people have been martyred and 11,088 injured, the statement continued.

The Gaza Strip is reeling from a humanitarian catastrophe due to the blocked flow of life-saving humanitarian aid to the residents, as well as the essential medicines and medical equipment required for hospitals.

Additionally, over two million people are crammed in camps and shelters and face extremely tough living conditions.
