Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Engages in Key Meetings at DIMDEX 2026

Doha: HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai conducted several bilateral meetings with senior international officials on the third day of the 9th Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX 2026). The event served as a platform for discussions on enhancing military cooperation and addressing topics of mutual interest.

According to Qatar News Agency, Lt. Gen. Al Mannai met with prominent figures including HE Commander of the Armed Forces of Malta Brig. Gen. Clinton John O'Neill, HE Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Lt. Gen. Fahd bin Abdullah Al Ghufaili, and HE Deputy General Delegate for Armaments of the French Republic Lt. Gen. (Engineer) Ga«l Diaz de Tuesta. Additionally, HE Advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Italian Armed Forces Lt. Gen. Gianfranco Annunziata and Deputy Chief of Staff of Mongolia Brig. Gen. Baldjid Baatar were part of the discussions.

The Chief of Staff also engaged with officials and representatives from companies exhibiting at DIMDEX 2026, including Chief Executive Officer of CVIC Xinnan Li, Deputy General Manager of Leonardo Carlo Gualdaroni, and General Manager of Elettronica Group Office in Qatar Guerino Giancola. These interactions aimed at exploring opportunities to enhance military partnerships and discuss shared interests.

A number of senior officers and officials were present at the meetings, underscoring the significance of these discussions in fostering international military cooperation.
