4.4-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea: An earthquake measuring 4.4 magnitude on the Richter scale struck northeast of Papua New Guinea on Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake occurred 131 km from the city of Finschhafen, at a depth of 207.2 km.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

Papua New Guinea is located along the Pacific Ring of Fire. In February 2018, it witnessed a devastating earthquake that killed at least 100 people and caused landslides that buried dozens of villages.
