Oil Dips but Remains Near Month’s High

Doha: Oil prices eased in Asia on Wednesday but held near one-month highs, while traders looked ahead to an OPEC+ meeting over the weekend. Brent crude fell 19 cents, or 0.3%, to $68.95 a barrel. US West Texas Intermediate crude dipped 16 cents, or 0.2%, at $65.43 a barrel. The benchmarks settled up more than 1% in the previous session.

According to Qatar News Agency, the slight decline came as traders anticipated discussions by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies, known as OPEC+, which are expected to influence future market dynamics. Despite the dip, the prices remained close to their peak for the month, reflecting ongoing market complexities and the cautious sentiment prevailing among investors.
