Doha: The Royal Palace in Norway announced on Friday the passing of King Harald V at the age of 89. In an official statement, the palace confirmed that King Harald V died this morning at Oslo University Hospital, following a sharp deterioration in his health.
According to Qatar News Agency, King Harald V was admitted to the hospital on August 17 to undergo treatment for a severe blood infection. His health had been closely monitored since then, leading to today's unfortunate announcement.
