Beirut:Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health has reported that the death toll from Israeli attacks since October 8, 2023, has risen to 8,956, with 30,664 individuals injured in the conflict.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry's Emergency Operations Center also provided figures for casualties since March 2, 2026, indicating that 4,389 people have been killed and 12,428 have been injured during this period.
Lebanon and Israel had previously signed a US-brokered framework agreement on June 26. The agreement was intended to facilitate the gradual deployment of the Lebanese Army in the south and the withdrawal of Israeli forces to aid in the return of residents and reconstruction efforts. However, violations by Israeli forces, including airstrikes, shelling, and military incursions, continue to undermine the agreement.
