His Majesty Kin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today issued Royal Decree (84) of 2023, amending Article (II) of Decree (57) of 2016 on the affiliation of the Information and e-Government Authority (iGA), based on a proposal by the Interior Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.

The decree stipulates the following:

A new item (Fourth) shall be added to Article (II) of Decree (57) of 2016 on the affiliation of the Information and e-Government Authority, and the rest of items shall be re-numbered accordingly.

The new item reads as follows:

"Fourth: The Directorate of Innovation n and Advanced Technology".

The Interior Minister shall implement the provisions of this decree, which shall come into force upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
