Accra:The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics has reported an increase in the country's annual headline inflation rate, which rose to 12.8 percent in September 2026 from 12.7 percent in August.
According to Qatar News Agency, the consumer price index reached 294.2 points in September, marking a 1.5 percent increase from the previous month.
When compared to September 2025, prices showed significant growth in several categories food and beverages increased by 7.9 percent, housing and utilities by 29.6 percent, furnishings and household maintenance by 15.1 percent, transport by 21.3 percent, education by 20 percent, and restaurants and hotels by 12.8 percent.
