Cautious Calm Prevails over Border Area in South Lebanon

Beirut, Cautious calm prevailed over the border area in south Lebanon on Sunday, the third day of the humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) said that this calm is occasionally violated by Israeli warplanes which fly over Tyre, especially over Naqoura, the southern coast, Alma Al Shaab, Marwahin, Al-Dhahira, and Tayr Harfa.

Patrols of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), accompanied by Lebanese army vehicles, are patrolling along the border villages, the NNA said.

The southern villages and towns are experiencing heightened tension and caution due to the expansion of violations, targeting civilians, journalists, and ambulances. All moving objects have become targets for the Israeli entity, leading to an increase in the number of displaced people.
