Buenos Aires, An earthquake measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale struck on Monday the province of Salta in Argentina.

The US Geological Survey said that the tremor occurred 71 km from San Antonio de los Cobres, at a depth of 174.4 km.

There have been no reports of casualties or material damage.

In October, a 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck the province of Salta in Argentina, without any human or material losses.
