Tunisia’s trade balance deficit retreated 11.98 percent in the first quarter to around $2.1 billion, official data showed today.

Institut National de la Statistique in Tunisia said in a statement today that the improvement was a result of a 9.1 percent increase in exports that outpaced the 5.5 percent increase in imports.
