Strong Winds, High Sea, and Thunderstorms Offshore Today

Doha: The Department of Meteorology warned of strong offshore winds, high sea and thunderstorms expected at first. According to the department's daily weather report, inshore conditions until 6:00 p.m. will be hazy at first, relatively cold daytime and scattered clouds with a chance of light rain at places, and cold at night.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore, the weather will be partly cloudy with a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery at first. Inshore winds will be northwesterly at 05-15 knots, gusting to 21 knots in some areas at times. Offshore winds will be northwesterly to northeasterly at 8-16 knots, with gusts reaching up to 25 knots.

Sea conditions inshore will range between 1-3 feet, while offshore seas will range from 5-9 feet, rising to 8 feet at first. Visibility inshore is expected to range between 4-9 km, while offshore visibility will range between 5-9 km.
