Seoul: The South Korean military announced today that North Korea launched at least one projectile towards the East Sea.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Joint Chiefs of Staff stated in a release by Yonhap News Agency that they monitored the launch, although specific details were not disclosed.

This launch follows North Korea's recent activity on September 12, where several short-range ballistic missiles were fired from the Wonsan region towards the East Sea. This action was interpreted as a reaction to the collaborative military exercises conducted by South Korea, the United States, and Japan.
