Sharjah: The fifth Sharjah Distributors Conference kicked off Saturday in the Emirate of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, with 912 participants from 99 countries, representing distributors, publishers, booksellers, and online sales platforms. According to Qatar News Agency, the two-day conference explores the most pressing challenges facing the delivery of books to readers, addressing areas such as inventory management, demand analysis, library development, e-commerce, and digital marketing. Additionally, the conference delves into utilizing AI to enhance the sales experience and better understand readers' behavior and peculiarities. The event's agenda includes professional workshops and business meetings among distributors, publishers, and booksellers. A notable feature of the conference is the "Publish Her" program, which is dedicated to supporting women in the publishing sector and enhancing their professional capabilities.
