Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque Amid Tight Security Measures

Jerusalem: Settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque Monday, amid tight security measures by Israeli occupation forces.

According to Qatar News Agency, citing local sources, dozens of settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards. During the raid, a settler raised the occupation flag, coinciding with the deployment of iron barriers around Damascus Gate and the Old City. These measures were aimed at restricting the movement of Jerusalemites.

The incidents of settler incursions and harassment of worshippers have been on the rise recently, with extremist settler groups calling for more such actions.

The provocative Flag March is planned to start from Al-Buraq Square, continuing through Damascus Gate and the Al-Wad neighborhood inside the Old City, areas densely populated with Palestinians. Since Sunday, Israeli occupation forces have set up iron barriers around Damascus Gate, at the entrance to the Old City of occupied Jerusalem.
