Russia Destroys 158 Ukrainian Drones Across 13 Regions

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Wednesday morning that its air defenses destroyed and intercepted 158 Ukrainian drones overnight, over 13 Russian regions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that its air defense systems on duty successfully destroyed 158 Ukrainian drones, with the majority being intercepted in the Krasnodar Territory where 67 drones were shot down. Rostov Oblast followed with 29 drones intercepted. In the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, 15 drones were brought down, while Voronezh Oblast saw 11 drones intercepted, and Kursk Oblast had 10 drones shot down.

Additionally, five drones were destroyed over Belgorod Oblast, three over Crimea, two over Penza Oblast, and one each over Saratov and Oryol Oblasts, as well as one over Stavropol Krai. Over the Sea of Azov, seven drones were intercepted, and six were shot down over the Black Sea basin.

In response to the threat posed by the Ukrainian drones, civilian airports across Russia have imposed temporary restrictions on air traffic over the past few hours.
