Antalya: HE President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani on Friday during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The meeting was part of a series of diplomatic engagements held in Antalya, emphasizing Qatar’s active role in international diplomacy and regional issues.
According to Qatar News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani participated in the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit-Commissioned Ministerial Committee Meeting regarding developments in the Gaza Strip. The meeting, held in Antalya, included representatives from the European Union, Russia, China, Norway, Slovenia, and Spain, focusing on collaborative efforts to address the situation in Gaza.
The State of Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and the 2030 Agenda, with an emphasis on Goal 3, which focuses on good health and well-being. This initiative is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030, which integrates sustainable healthcare strategies.
Additionally, Qatar is set to inaugurate its pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka-Kansai in Japan, demonstrating its dedication to global cultural exchange. The inauguration ceremony will take place next Tuesday in the Empowering Lives zone of the exhibition.
Further, the Cultural Village Foundation, Katara, announced the Katara’s Naham Al Khaleej 2025 Art Award and Festival, starting this Sunday on Katara’s southern beach, highlighting Qatar’s cultural initiatives.
In a separate diplomatic engagement, HE President of the Syrian Arab Republic Ahmad Al Sharaa also met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani at the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
Qatar has also condemned the closure of six schools operated by UNRWA in East Jerusalem by Israeli authorities, calling it a crime against children’s right to education in occupied Palestinian territories.
