In the same context, Al-Raya newspaper highlighted in its editorial today under the title "Qatar intensifies its efforts to stop the Israeli aggression", the intense diplomatic movement led by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani to stop the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the necessity of opening the crossings for the flow of Humanitarian aid.

The newspaper said that His Highness discussed, the day before yesterday, in Abu Dhabi with his brother HH President of the sisterly United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the need to intensify efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza. His Highness also headed yesterday to Cairo, where he held an official session of talks with his brother HE President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah El Sisi. The two sides discussed joint efforts to stop the aggression against Gaza, reduce the escalation, and bring in urgent humanitarian aid, in a way that guarantees the safety of civilians and contributes to reducing tensions in the region.

Al-Raya added that the two sides stressed their firm and continuous support for the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, especially their right to establish an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, on the basis of the two-state solution and their condemnation to all violations against the Palestinian people, their lands, and their sanctities, which undermine reaching a just solution to the issue.

The newspaper pointed out that the Qatari diplomatic movement comes at a crucial stage, which was confirmed by His Highness, warning against the continuation of the brutal Israeli aggression and the blatant violation of international humanitarian law that does not serve the achievement of lasting and comprehensive peace in the region, calling for intensifying international efforts to stop the war and alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers.

Al-Raya concluded by affirming that from this standpoint comes the participation of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in the work of the extraordinary joint Arab-Islamic summit scheduled to be held today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, based on Qatars firm and firm keenness to support the Palestinian cause and support its people in all forums to obtain their legitimate rights, especially since the summit comes in critical and exceptional circumstances, and its decisions regarding supporting the Palestinian people and stopping the aggression will be immediately built upon.
